Profile:
Alpha Hospital Sheffield is a purpose-built low secure hospital for women, located just one mile from Sheffield city centre. The design brief here was to provide a safe, secure and spacious environment for residents.
The hospital was designed with private bedrooms with full en-suite facilities and a range of recreational spaces including a gym, laundry rooms, occupational therapy rooms, kitchens, therapy gardens, animal husbandry areas and external sports pitches.
A later extension involved the design of an additional 15 beds of residential accommodation, associated therapy, clinical and rehabilitation rooms.
